Course Descriptions

PREVENTIONNIST IN WATERFRONT AREAS

This training is aimed at workers and is designed, on the one hand, to acquire an understanding of the dangers inherent in working near water and, on the other, to develop the safe behaviors to adopt in order to avoid any falls into the water. This training meets the requirements of the Safety Code for Construction Work and, more specifically, the regulation concerning work above or near water (Decree 513-2015; Section XI, article 11.2).

BOAT INTERVENTION 

This training is aimed at workers and is designed to develop the knowledge and skills needed to operate a boat, as well as basic rescue techniques such as approaching and recovering a victim. This training meets the requirements of the Safety Code for Construction Work and, more specifically, the regulation concerning work above or near water (Decree 513-2015; Section XI, article 11.4, paragraph 2).

BOAT RESCUE

This course is designed for people involved in nautical activities and aims to develop basic knowledge and skills in lifesaving using a motorized or non-powered craft.

First Responder Water Rescue

This course prepares the first responder to react effectively in a water rescue situation. Through numerous practical exercises, the candidate will acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable him or her to stand out from the crowd in terms of both prevention and response. The course is flexible, allowing instructors to adapt it to the needs of their clientele.

ICE RESCUE 

The Ice and Cold Water Rescue course is designed to train rescuers to take part in the rescue of a victim of an incident on frozen water. The rescuer can intervene from the shore, on the ice or in cold water.
