The first edition of the Canadian Drowning Prevention Plan

In order to execute this plan, the Canadian Drowning Prevention Coalition has addressed the questions relative to the priority actions of drowning prevention that must be undertaken by Canada.

The World Conference of Drowning Prevention (WCDP), which took place during the month of October in Vancouver, gathered a large number of specialists coming from all corners of the world. For the Coalition, this was the right moment to unveil this first edition.

Created by the Coalition, the Canadian Drowning Prevention Plan presents the recommendations for each of the key focus targets, deemed as priorities, for the next five years. It is adaptable, and will be adjusted every six months, according to the progression of the data, the measures and the results as well as the accomplished progress.
