THE 2019 PRICE LIST IS NOW AVAILABLE

The Lifesaving Society recently uploaded its new price list for the year 2019. Each year, the Lifesaving Society sets new prices in relation to the Consumer Index Price (CIP). For the year 2019, the global increase in price for the Lifesaving Society’s products will be slightly higher than this index.

Keen on always offering more quality products, programs, activities and services to its members, the Lifesaving Society made the informed decision of increasing fees more significantly for certain products, basing its conclusion on the evolution of its service offer and on the economic environment, with results to achieve and objectives to reach.

In this perspective, representatives of the Lifesaving Society have met with the board members of the Association des responsables aquatiques du Québec (ARAQ) to explain the organization’s economic stakes. During this meeting, different solutions, such as price hikes spread over many years, were discussed.

The Lifesaving Society is proud to be the reference for drowning prevention for its affiliated members, its instructors and lifeguards, but also for the general public. As a non-profit organization, and without governmental advantage to guarantee the certification of its members, its activities are completely funded by the contributions of its members. Revenue sources are therefore limited. The Society must therefore diversify to maintain the level of quality of its unique products, programs, activities and services, which require an important financial investment. The National Drowning Prevention Week, Splash Patrol, Perfect Swim, certain information services as well as many advantages offered to the affiliated and certified members are all free activities and services offered by the Lifesaving Society. It is the Society’s duty to continue down this path. To this end, and in order to better meet the needs of its members, the Lifesaving Society must increase the number of employees despite the increasing participation of volunteers, which allow to lower its costs.
