SNO Hawaii – Did you know that…?

It is possible to take the course to obtain the Quebec Lifesaving Society’s National Lifeguard – Surf award in Gaspésie, in Costa Rica or in Hawaii. The Quebec branch of the Lifesaving Society also recognizes awards issued in other Canadian provinces.

Lifesaving sport is an amazing way to become familiar with lifesaving. There are 15 lifesaving clubs in the province of Quebec. And there is no required prior training to become aa athlete in the Junior category! Lifesaving sport is a discipline recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and is practiced in 130 countries. Marie-Hélène, instructor, is the defending champion of Quebec Surf Lifesaving Championships. Véronique, also instructor, won many times the Quebec Pool Lifesaving Championships. Both of them have competed at Rescue – World Lifesaving Championships.
