Drowning prevention

What is drowning?
A person can drown in less than 20 seconds in only a few centimetres of water. Drowning is the result of water penetrating in an individual’s respiratory system. This can cause death. Contrary to popular belief, drowning is silent: in the event of submersion, human instinct will induce the distressed victim to inhale, not exhale.
